Stories of Strength: Patient Testimonials from Therapy
"When Sara came into my life I was completely unwilling to address my addiction and the debilitating symptoms i was experiencing. I was pretty much always on the verge of hospitalization. Sara has been my rock through my breakdowns, my highs, my lows, and everything in between. I started seeing her in the spring of 2022 and in this time she’s seen me through so many phases and has always helped bring me back down to earth. She found ways to incorporate DBT even when I was unwilling to believe i need it. I’ve been in therapy since i was 4 years old and I’ve definitely been around the psychiatry/psychology block many times and I’ve never met a therapist who has the ability to make session about such intense emotions and traumas feel like you’re just having a chat with a longtime friend. She creates such a safe space to unravel and she helps you pick up the pieces so you can put yourself back together. I’ve had a lot of people in this industry try to put bandaids on metaphorical bullet holes but Sara helps you stitch those wounds up so all that’s left is a scar. She works at your pace which is so necessary for myself and others that are still walking the line of “do i actually want to live?” Having a space to feel those things is important because so many times I’ve heard over and over “you don’t want to actually die.” she never said that. She worked out with me where that feeling came from and helped me process it and the truth is i didn’t want to die i just didn’t want to feel. I didn’t wanna acknowledge that i was in pain or that i was still carrying the crushing weight of my traumas. Over the course of almost 3 years I’ve gone from bouncing between self destructive behaviors to actively trying to better myself and my life even on my bad days. I’m not gonna say it happened over night because it didn’t, it took months of falling and getting back up to prove to myself i was worth saving and that’s when the real work actually started. She didn’t see me as the monster i saw in the mirror and slowly she helped me tear apart that image and rebuild the belief that im not “too far gone” or a “lost cause.” My beliefs about myself have shifted from my world is ending to my world is just finally beginning. "I first started working with Sara about 4 months ago and the change I've experienced through our sessions is phenomenal! I was struggling with accepting certain things about myself, struggling with the most important relationships in my life, and overall was feeling rather helpless. Through Sara's guidance, I began to learn how to be more honest with myself. My marriage, that was on the brink of collapse, has turned around significantly. These days I'm filled with hope. While I've been working hard in hopes to making this turnaround possible, I'm confident that it wouldn't have been possible without consistent therapy with Sara. She has helped me become emotionally aware and secure. I will always be grateful to Sara for help she has provided me."

"I started working with Sara about a year ago, and she has truly been a game changer in my life. After moving to Florida and facing a challenging adjustment period, I sought therapy. I have worked with many professionals over the years, but none have compared to her. Sara truly made me feel heard and guided me toward the right diagnosis and medication. After years of being misdiagnosed, I finally feel like myself again, thanks to her dedication in connecting me with a professional who truly understands how to provide the care I needed. Sara has guided me through my struggles with self-esteem, body image, anxiety, and depression. I’ve never felt more at ease with a therapist. She’s always available for support, whether before or after our sessions, and her guidance has instilled a newfound confidence in me. I can’t express enough how much of a difference she has made!
